Hey, everyone! Guess who's back with another diabetic plate? For those of you who might not know, The diabetic plate consists of: Half plate - non starchy vegetables Quarter plate - protein Quarter plate - carbohydrates I made this diabetic plate with steamed mushrooms for non starchy vegetable, fried yam for carbs and garlic black pepper chicken for protein. Yes, I made garlic black pepper chicken again, because it was that good! Steamed mushrooms recipe: First off, steam the mushrooms for about 10-15 mins. Next, drop the steamed mushrooms on a pan with: 1. A little bit of oil 2. Lemon juice 3. Rosemary, coriander/ any herb you might have 4. Salt & pepper  Fried yam recipe: First off, cut up the yam into thin triangles. Drop them into a boiling pan, add salt and turmeric and let it boil.  Hello, readers! Welcome back to my blog! I know that I've been MIA for quite a while now, but guess what?! I'm back with lots of exciting news and updates about my life to share with y'all. I've finally decided to leave Chennai, which has been my home for 19 years, and move to Bangalore for college! It probably sounds a lot more exciting than it really is. It was cool and exciting in the beginning for me, too, but as days pass by and the shift gets closer, I find myself being terrified. I realise that it's pretty hard to uproot 19 years of life, even though I've never quite felt at home in Chennai.  My college seems cool and all but I'm not so sure about the people.
