Diabetic plate 2!

Hey, everyone! Guess who's back with another diabetic plate?

For those of you who might not know,
The diabetic plate consists of:
Half plate - non starchy vegetables
Quarter plate - protein
Quarter plate - carbohydrates

I made this diabetic plate with steamed mushrooms for non starchy vegetable, fried yam for carbs and garlic black pepper chicken for protein.
Yes, I made garlic black pepper chicken again, because it was that good!

Steamed mushrooms recipe:
First off, steam the mushrooms for about 10-15 mins.
Next, drop the steamed mushrooms on a pan with:
1. A little bit of oil
2. Lemon juice
3. Rosemary, coriander/ any herb you might have
4. Salt & pepper 

Fried yam recipe:
First off, cut up the yam into thin triangles.
Drop them into a boiling pan, add salt and turmeric and let it boil.
Once the yam is cooked, coat the pieces in a 1:1:2 mixture of coriander powder : chilli powder: corn starch.
Pan fry the pieces after adding oil to get crispy fried yam!

Garlic black pepper chicken recipe:

Season the chicken with oil, salt and pepper. Pan fry it and proceed to add the sauce with the following ingredients:
Oyster sauce
Soy sauce
Black pepper
Garlic
Honey
Ketchup

Inspired by: 
I replaced the butter with oil due to my PCOS, and it works just fine! I also used chicken breasts instead of thighs and the recipe holds good!
